Welcome to

Pointing to Jesus

SUNDAY WORSHIP 8:30am - Live Stream on our website,   Facebook, & YouTube page - recorded services posted immediately.

Or, call (517) 234-5554 and listen live at 8:30 every Sunday, or to the recording of the previous Sunday's 8:30 service.

In-person worship has begun! (please see details in section below)

We are OPEN!

Beginning July 5, 2020, we will offer two Sunday worship times:  8:30 and 10:00am.  Phone-in or email reservations are needed for attendance in order to maintain appropriate numbers.

  • We encourage the sick, health-compromised and those who are not yet comfortable with public gatherings to please remain home and join us via live-stream or recorded services until such time as you are ready.
  • SUMMER TRAVELERS: If you have traveled to an area of high risk for the Corona Virus,  please consider worshiping from home for two weeks upon your return. While we love having you here in person, we have to consider the safety and health of everyone.
  • Please be considerate and practice healthy Christian grace toward each other.  We want Christ’s Church to represent His unity and not mirror our society’s divisions.
  • We will continue to live-stream our worship services.  Keep in mind you may briefly appear on camera if you attend the 8:30 service.  Smile!  You will appear on camera longer if you fall asleep.
  • Doors to the building and the sanctuary will be propped open for easier access.
  • Bulletins will not be handed out.  They will be available, if needed, for you to individually pick up.  Please place them in one of the trash cans on your way out. We will not be re-using them. (Everything will still be posted on the screens).
  • Please bring your bible from home, as the community bibles will not be available (verses will be posted on the screens).
  • Offering plates will be located in the narthex - you didn’t think we’d forget that did you?
  • Masks are encouraged, at least until you get to your seat.
  • When choosing your seat, please leave an empty row between you and others for social distancing.
  • Hand sanitizer will be available throughout the building.
  • Surfaces will be cleaned after each worship service.
  • No coffee hour, not even a coffee ½ hour.
  • No receiving line in the narthex.  Please exit the building immediately after worship to give the deacons time to prepare for the next service.

2. Reservations need to be made each week for the coming Sunday service.

3. Reservations may be made by phone (517-265-6998). Please leave a message if no one answers. Due to the holiday, office hours will be very limited from July 1-10.

We invite you to

worship with us

We are part of the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod, and when we aren't under a pandemic, we worship on Sundays at 8:30 and 11:00 a.m.  and from September through May, provide classes for ALL ages in between. We call the time period from 9:45-10:45 a.m., the Faith Builder Hour, the 2nd most important hour of your week! Click here for more information on Faith Builder activities.

Throughout Lent and Advent seasons, we also offer Wednesday services at 4:30 and 6:30 pm. Please see our calendar (keep scrolling) for our current schedule.

During the year, we offer Coffee Hour between services, providing coffee, juice and light refreshments.

Services switch every week between Divine (hymns on the organ) and Blended (praise songs performed by our praise band). Please click here for our calendar (or keep scrolling down) to know which service will be provided at which time this week.

Holy Communion is offered on the 2nd and last Sunday of each month. If you are not a member, but would like to receive Holy Communion, please contact Pastor Sarrault during the week.

What to expect

from us

We have a pair of friendly deacons ready to greet you with a smile as you enter the church. Greeters will be at the door to the sanctuary, handing out bulletins, should you want one (all the words you need will be projected on the screens).

If you have children, they are encouraged to attend with you. There are activity bags for them as they enter the sanctuary and a Children's Message is woven into the service, when children are invited to sit in front of the altar and receive a message delivered just for them (pic).

Pastor Sarrault will lead us through a Bible-centered sermon, connecting His word to our world.

If your children need a break during the service, there is a Training Room (you can still see and hear the service) and a library (you can still hear the service) available.

There are elders in the back of the sanctuary, ready to answer your questions, assist you,  or pray with you.

At the conclusion of the 8:30 service, coffee and refreshments are available on both upper and lower levels. Classes for ALL ages are from 9:45-10:45 (Sept. - May), with all children's classes downstairs. There are always at least 2 adult classes to choose from.

We are part of the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod (LCMS). For more information about our doctrine and beliefs, please click here.

How to Give Online

There are two kinds of secure giving available here: one-time gifts and recurring gifts. This video will show you how to navigate the giving process - setting up an online account, using a bank account OR credit card, choosing the fund to which you choose to give, and setting up your recurring tithe. You can always choose which fund you want your money to go into (you can even give to numerous funds with one gift), the day of the week or month you give, and when your gifts start and stop. If you have any further questions, you may contact our Treasurer,  John McDowell or Outreach Director, Karmen Wilharms
