YOUTHGROUPS

We are the youth!

St. John's has a very active youth ministry. From Sept. - June, we offer Faith Builders classes for ALL ages every Sunday morning at 9:45.

We also offer a week of VBS each summer, and have NUMEROUS opportunities for group activities, service projects, retreats, bible camps, and gatherings with other students within the church, the state and the nation.

Toddlers - 4th grade

For toddlers through 4th grade, their Sunday morning consists of snacks, a puppet show, group songs, a bible story, a craft, and instruction. The Faith Builder hour is the 2nd most important hour of their week!

Please bring your child downstairs, stop at the snack table and grab some refreshments, then find a seat in Koinonia Hall (pictured). There's a helpful guide at the bottom of the stairs if you don't know where you're going. You can leave your child with their teacher, then go attend an adult class or enjoy Coffee Hour upstairs. Go back down and pick up your children at 10:45.

5th-6th Grade

Our 5th/6th graders meet together each Sunday morning to dig a little deeper into Luther's Small Catechism and the Bible. These students also get to start serving as acolytes with our 7th/8th graders during Sunday worship services.

Jr. High

Our 7th/8th graders (along with their parents) meet for Confirmation Class each Sunday morning with Pastor Sarrault. This two year period prepares them for Confirmation at the end of their 8th grade year, when they re-commit to their faith.

They also serve as acolytes during worship services Sunday mornings, and have various opportunities for local service projects and social events, plus attend state-wide and national retreats and camps to further their faith.

High School

Our High School students meet every Sunday morning in the youth room, where they enjoy a relaxed atmosphere to play games, hang out, and discuss a bible lesson each week and how that applies to their current life situations.

They also serve within the church, the community, and attend state and national youth gatherings.
